Jaime Lapidus fights for his clients. Mr. Lapidus graduated summa cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law. While there, he was an articles editor for the St. Thomas Law Review, competing member of the Moot Court Team, and president of the school’s Criminal Law Society.
For excelling on the bar exam, Mr. Lapidus was given the honor of being the featured speaker at the Florida Supreme Court’s ceremony for induction of candidates for admission to the Florida Bar.
As an assistant public defender, Mr. Lapidus has aggressively advocated for the accused in Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade County. He has made his reputation by practicing with knowledge, empathy, and a willingness to take any case to trial. Mr. Lapidus has successfully tried many cases to verdict ranging from crimes as routine as DUI’s to issues complicated and sensitive to litigate such as accusations of Animal Cruelty. He has also had success defending his clients and their constitutional rights at the appellate level.
Mr, Lapidus was born in Miami, Florida and raised in the New York/New Jersey area. He returned to Miami to attend Florida International University where he graduated with a degree in anthropology, minor in world religions, and certificate in Latin American studies. His motivation to practice law has always been to give voice to the voiceless.
