Miami Kidnapping Offenders Face the Very Real Possibility of Life in Prison

On Saturday, November 5, 2016, an Amber Alert was issued for three-year old Lee Parish after his mother’s boyfriend left his mother at a gas station when she got out to pump gas into the vehicle. The young boy was sleeping in the back seat when William James Rogers drove off with him. When police finally tracked Rogers down, he told the officers that he dropped the boy off at a Fort Lauderdale home with an unidentified woman. The woman had just seen the Amber Alert for the boy when the police showed up to collect him. Rogers is currently being held for kidnapping, grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and child neglect.

However, aggravated kidnapping is much more serious of a crime than simple kidnapping, and any person found guilty of aggravated kidnapping faces life in prison. If you have been charged with aggravated kidnapping in Miami, Florida, do not hesitate, and contact your local criminal defense team right away.
